Account deletion

How to request deletion

To delete your SpeakGain account and related data, go to Settings → Account → Delete account in the app.

If you can't complete it in the app, email [email protected] from the Google or Apple account address you signed up with, with the subject "Account deletion request".

What gets deleted

• Your Supabase user and account identifiers, including your email address
• Server-side explanation and voice-generation jobs and their usage records, and daily quota records
• Generated voice files stored in Cloudflare R2

If you delete your account in the app, it also clears learning data on the device you use for that action, including cards, practice and review history, drafts, settings, local audio and recordings, and onboarding state. An email deletion request cannot clear data on a device. You must remove any data remaining on your devices, including other devices, yourself.

What remains and what needs a separate step

• RevenueCat purchase records remain under an identifier we can no longer associate with a person, for accounting, support, and fraud prevention
• PostHog usage data and Sentry error data remain in a form we can no longer associate with a person
• Cancel your subscription separately from the Google Play Subscriptions screen, or on iOS from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (deleting your account does not cancel it)
• Records we are required by law to retain are deleted once the statutory period has passed

Signing in after deletion

Signing in again with the same Apple or Google account creates a new SpeakGain account. Your previous phrases, learning history, and generated audio are not restored. If you have an active store subscription, you can recover access with Restore purchases in the app.

Processing time

After we confirm your request, we complete deletion within 30 days and notify you by email.
